Andreas,

Regarding this entry:

http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_pub...?lossid=134184

Could you please specify, in case you have any details, if Ofw. Gerritzen and Ofw. Johann Geritzer lost 26.05.1942 on 9K+BK, is the same person?

I say this is the same person. On my photos you can find Ofw. Johann Gerritzen.

Rene,

Thank you. As I see he has never returned to Germany. He was captured on May 26, 1942.

I have no hints that he was captured by the Russians. If that so, I think he died in captivity .

Anyone have WNr. for the May 26, 1942 Gerritzen loss by chance? According to the loss he (as Horst G.) and his crew were MIA, cause unknown

Re: KG51 losses 7.4.41 Balkans.

Jim,

In Soviet documents there is no trace of w.n. for Gerritzen's Ju-88. The plane was hit by Flak and set on fire. Gerritzen managed to bail out, others perished.

Hi.

The record for the second loss:

http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_pub...?lossid=148411

The code according to the loss record is 9K+EK not 9K+BK, see attached scan.

Hi Rene, its been a long time since we corresponded over Poppenberg, you may or may not remember!
The scans you posted earlier on this thread are interesting, are these crew lists from Landsberg 1936?

Best regs,
Steve.

Hi Steve!

No, that is a list with names of fallen and missing members of the K.G.51.She was published in 1956 during the first reunion.

Greetings, Rene

Hi Rene, thank you for explaining the origins of the scans, a quite useful item when researching KG51 losses i suspect. Thanks for showing the scans.

Greetings,
Steve.

Thanks Nikita. WNr. is not listed with the Gen.Qu. loss either. Was hoping someone may have the report from the WASt, and that maybe that document had a WNr.
