Hello there
I remember reading in this forum (in a thread that I was unable to find, so you can put this question there) about the new Donald Caldwell's book dealing with the Defence of the Reich War Diary, and I remembered that it was due to publication for June. June has passed...
So my question is : do we have any update? any new publication dates?

I don't think it's out yet. I believe Don was collecting information for something like his two volume JG26 combat diary that he put together for day by day. The book in the links is not the one.

The information that I have got is that will be entitled 'Day Fighters in Defence of the Reich, A War Diary 1942-45' published by Frontline Books and to be released Summer 2011'.

That's the book, from Frontline Publications, however their website has nothing about it, not even in the "Coming soon " section.

I just wonder what is the difference between this new book and his previous book "The Luftwaffe over Germany", since that old book pretty much covers the same subject

I gotta bump this; is this book's format going to be the day to day diary style (along with the the losses & vic claims day by day & tabulated at the end) like the JG26 war diary?

I see that this book is now available on Amazon UK. It is supposed to be available in the US on March 19.

I emailed the Publishers and they answered that the book will be published on February the 20th.
So now, we can only wait ...

I ordered the book today from a Barnes and Noble store. The shipping date on the invoice is March 19.

Well, we may just have to carry this book. I am in touch with the distributors here in the states and have a pre-order in with them. They are telling me to expect the book end of April.

PM me if anyone is interested in getting this title from us. The importers are telling me a price of $75.00 U.S.

Has anyone else heard from Amazon about being cancelled? Wonder why? Hmmmm.....
