Oblt./Hptm. Josef Krause, 6./NJG101

Hello,

does somebody have any information relating to this officer? He claimed 15 1/2 victories during May - November 1944. I think he is different person than Oblt./Hptm. Hans (Johannes) Krause. Josef Krause probably served in 5./NJG 3 at least during Autumn 1942.

Thanks for help

Seems to be the same , Hans flew from 05.43 with the G3/Do217 code supposed to be the code used by NJG 101, then 9W flew from Parndorf und Hungary, a Specht seems to hv been is favourite partner

Dear Milan,

I am assuming this is about a personal dispute you are having with Michal, as I can't read the thread you have linked. Please use PM, if you have to, better keep it of the forum alltogether.

Thank you.

Apologies for the thread hijacking, but can anyone identify the Do-217 Krause was flying on the night of July 4th 1944, when he shot down two Halifaxes near Sombor in Serbia?

Many thanks

Simon

Re: Oblt./Hptm. Josef Krause, 6./NJG101

Thank you for the info Remi, much appreciated.

With the risk of asking a silly question, are Josef Krause and Johannes (Johan) Krause really the same pilot as is discussed earlier in this thread?

This site has them both listed separately flying for NJG101:

http://www.aircrewremembrancesociety...anPilotsK.html

It has Oblt Josef Krause as the pilot who shot down the Halifax I asked the question about. Apologies for going over old ground, as it were, but I'm confused (don't worry, it's not an unusual situation for me!) :)

Regards

Simon
