Re: Part of aircraft to id.
Here is another wrack from quite different area. Please try to id from which aircraft and which part of machine ?
Is it Ju87/88 like here (see photo) vertical rudder ? http://awiacja.republika.pl/Foto/junkers2.jpg or from Bf109 - rudder : http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...Seiten_neu.jpg |

Quote:
These photos appear to be of a cowling from a Bf 109G-10. The upper round hatch indicates the cold start valve for the DB 605D motor. The small bump to the left (it is above the CSV in proper orientation) of the the CSV opening indicates the cowling was manufactured for a Messerschmitt/WNF G-10 rather than of Erla manufacture. Re: Part of aircraft to id.

Re: Part of aircraft to id.
Hi,
your last pictures are showing a fragment of the lower radiator flap. Also from a Bf109. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2629/...1585c3d49b.jpg Matthias |
Re: Part of aircraft to id.
Dear Matthias,
Thanks a lot for answer ! So just now I can see more about this detail: http://109lair.hobbyvista.com/techre...ng/f_flaps.htm other views: http://www.warbirdinformationexchang...36920&start=30 At our area (Pommeren) we have a lot of places with wracks - more of them from JG3 ;) so thanks for support. Re: Part of aircraft to id.
mmmmmmmmm...I am not so sure about the flap. Though the shape is similar, the Me109 cooler flap never had a steel rod in that position...
? Mike |
Re: Part of aircraft to id.
So ...... , any other suggestions ?
What do you think about attached by me view for compare both details ? |
Re: Part of aircraft to id.
Hi Mike,
the bolt is placed inside the flap an is attached to the adjustment mechanism. Some time ago i had such a flap with the plating removed and as far as I remember, there was such a rod inside. Unfortunately I took no pictures. Also the aluminum support block sidewards is typically 109 in my opinion. Matthias |
