Before I go to WASt, does anyone have any information on this chap who was with 1/ZG 76, then 6/NJG 1? I have nothing on him after his 2nd night kill in May 41 before he appears again with 6/NJG 102. Can anyone send me a scan on his NVM for 2-3 Mar 44 when his Bf 110 G-4 suffered engine failure and he baled out near Reutlingen?

I don't have the NVM but maybe this might help? I have no other entries for WNr. 2696 in my db - what I generally describe as a 'hole'.
Bf 110G-4, 2696, Schönherr, Ofw. Johann, , II., 6., NJG 102, , VE+JF, VE+JF, , 02-Mar-44, Injured in FSA due to engine trouble. Bf also FSA, injured, Bw killed., 2/3-Mar, WNr. 2698 per Balss with WNr. 2696 as a question. Probably a Bf 110F-4. WNr. 2698 previously reported twice as 80% damaged with ZG 1!!, Lfl.Reich/Nachtjagd, BA-MA Signatur RL 2 III/779, Flzg.Unfälle und Verluste bei Schulen und usw., p.53, 67; Balss, Deutsche Nachtjagd, p.227, , Holzelfingen, bei Reutlingen, 100%, E, Bf Uffz. Josef Österreicher & Bw Uffz. Johann Regner, ,
