Me 262 on eBay

Hi Gents,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-Capture...item337d6d904e

?? Any idea? Note the "X" under horizontal tail plane.

Cheers, Franck.

One of the JV 44 birds in Salzburg Hötting? The X crudely painted on the lower fin was the distinctive mark telling the plane was not ear-marked for testing and could be disposed off.

Back ...
What's the nose in background? Ar234? Like that we'll know where we are, maybe...

Hi guys, Hi Marc,

Think I got it; WNr.500531 at Hörsching Fl.Pl., INSIDE the hangar with that beautiful curved roof.
... And maybe a Heinkel in background, but without floats :D

Regards, Franck.

Yes, I had an Austrian Fliegerhorst in mind, too.
I remember a set of photos with a wingless He 111 in the background obviously having undergone repair works...

Roland

Re: Me 262 on eBay

Hello Roland,

Absolutely, one of 500531 pictures shows the He111 fuselage outside of the hangar near by the Me262 put on trolley.
And of course the "nose" behind the today's eBay picture is one of a He111.

OK, done. Thanks pals!

Regards, Franck.

Dear Gang,

lately returning to this thread, ouidjat mentioned:

Nope, i do believe that this depicts the nose of an Fw 58 Weihe. By so far it is as well most unlikely that it shows the "glassnose" of a He 111...
If i am wrong anyway, please don't hesitate to correct me.

Best Regards
Norbert

Re: Me 262 on eBay

It´s no Fw 58. The glazing is completely different.
The rear part of the glass nose of the He 111 is covered by some item which cannot be seen clearly...
