I published several photos of various airfields from your list, taken from the air or ground views, in my book 'From Barbarossa to Odessa' (two volumes).

If you need any of those photos, just let me know.

Re: Airfield photos Bessarabia, Moldova, Ukraine,Bucovina

Thanks for your offer but I have both volumes available. The photos depicts airplanes and little of the ground facilities .

What would be of interest to me from both books would be your opinion regarding folowing :

1. How did you determine that the DO-215 of 3.(F) 121 was shot down on 23.7.41...because the
German records I have state the date 25.7.1941...although your date seems to be the correct one.

2. Page 37 the yellow 7 DB-3F can you email me this photo...and you you know
the date or the location of crash ?..I suspect the aircraft may be one of the
loing range DBAP's which operated from either Saki, Zporoje or Tokmak

3. Page 56 the the SB-2...do you know the aproximate crash location ?

4.Page 126 do you know the crash location or date of the DB-3F ?

5.Page 139 do you have clear resolution of Vygoda airfield

6. Same about page 156 lowest botton I-153 date and crash location ? could you email this photo?

Last question is their a clear proof that a TB-8 bombed Bucharest 1942 ?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Give me your e-mail address and I will send you a couple of scans, as requested.

P.S. Are you, by any chance, A.K.?

Re: Airfield photos Bessarabia, Moldova, Ukraine,Bucovina

Thank you but disregard the issue , by any chance I am not AK
or anything similar. Never spoke to you prior this, as such
do you mind to verify with me this question again ?

On search engines, it says you reside in Canada,Romania
US and elsewhere, however on here you post Hungaria.

I'm really confussed now on whom I'm talking to and can't
understand why you offered help which later on you didn't
follow up !

By the way Odessa's Volumes I & II, disclose numerous
if not many historical errors of yours & Karlenko worth
reviewing and editting....just in case you are interested
on Russian reader's opinion too such as of D.Chazanov,
A.Medved, M.Morozov,V.Emelianenko ,etc and
even mine. Good luck.

Best Regards
Markus

I don't know what happened here since my last visit.
I can drop by only every other day.

As for my aforementioned two-volume book, I am the first one to declare that it's not perfect, there are certainly information, which is either missing, or can be updated.
Every completion, correction, - backed up by a reliable source - is welcome.

Hi Dénes

Just wanted to personally thank you for the two excellent volumes, but also wanted to ask if you had intended to, or have plans to extend the series further to cover the later air war over the city/region?

Best Regards

Chris

Re: Airfield photos Bessarabia, Moldova, Ukraine,Bucovina

Thank you, Chris, for your kind words. Indeed, I tried my very best, together with my co-authors, to gather and put head-to-head all available info on that particular topic, broken down on a daily basis.

Yes, I plan, but not in the near future, to continue this approach in dealing with operations that involved not only the Luftwaffe and the Soviet Air Force, but other, smaller Axis air forces as well, which were seldom covered in published literature.

Actually, I already have most of the info and photos needed for such an endeavour, but what I desperately lack is time.

Re: Airfield photos Bessarabia, Moldova, Ukraine,Bucovina

With reference to your msg and in retrospect , I may agree with the other remarks although Mr Denes
your strength is definitely not the WWII Soviet Air Forces neither this of Karlenko, your strength is more
inclined towards Axis Air Forces. To reprint a corrected version of both volumes is a futile knoted issue and
could end up into a spin due lack of general interest and of deep VVS historical knowledge.

If you may be interested I could outline herewith some of your critical errors to alleviate
wrong conclussions at your end :

1. Most of Soviet VVS missions by date and by pilot fate were wrong
2. Some of the photos published do not belong to a specific topic neither match the crash location
3. You omitted other Polkas ( IAP ) which participated against Romania
one of which was this of the I-16 defector which later on flown by Ciocanel
4. Same about the MIG-3 defector's Polka (IAP) you omitted his name and his IAP .
4. Same about the IL-2 defector's Polka and his name , the pilot was interviewed
by a prominent IV Fliegerkorps Major and Col.Lissievic of SSI and the pilot was
even a graduate of Jukowsky Aeronautical Academy in Moscow!
5. You omitted various Black Sea IAP's which were also active against Romania
6. You omitted various emergency Russian airfields in Odessa Region and Bessarabia
7. If you would cross check the JG77, JG3, JG51,JG52,JG53, JG 54 KG4, KG 27, KG 51
history books with the Russian archives material you will come to the conclussion
that numerous reports of yours regarding victories were totally mismatching .

8. Mainly and foremost you forgotten a secret recon Polka equipped with R-10 which
was temporirly located near Romanian border and which was moved from Belarus
before June 1941 then from July on moved to Odessa and reequipped with IL-2

9. In various cases you outlined wrong crew fates most relevant of which
was this of DB-3F pilot Capt Schultz and his crew....they didn't crash at all at Ploesti
but 270 miles away in Ukraine due disorentation leading to fuel starvation and rather
all killed than taken POW.

10. You omitted at least 3 other Naval IAP based at Odessa one of which
secretly operated IL-2's middle of the City ( they were using a street for take off)

11. The most successful mission of the 40 BAP against Ploesti was not properly
described. To an extent was even more successful than HALPRO and Low Level Raid.

12. You didn't mention the 87 Russian pilots and aircrew members POW's
in Romania during 1941.....additionally Lt.Nikonov brought down by Agarici was
was instructor pilot of 3 URAP , the second SB-2 was not Agarici's work and
3rd one landed at Bolgrad .

13. etc etc etc

Unlike these two volumes, your other work on Axis were closer to the reality
though the Odessa volumes were good to start with ,not however to be published in
Europe and Russia coze such major errors definitely had an impact , facts you heard
from various authors already in the long past, period.

Cheers and good luck in the future

PS: Your collegues Avram, Turturica ,Arma, Melinte,Nitu are rookies distorting the
truth rather bringing the truth to the public, I can understand is hard to hear the
truth , though these are the facts ,you can take it or leave it .Last but not least
you know Col.Prof.Miroslaw Morozov he could brief you about me.

I can't but admire you flair in post #4 Denes !

Re: Airfield photos Bessarabia, Moldova, Ukraine,Bucovina

Mike and Steve , what did I tell you ? it was a matter of time until his Romanian friends will show up and start campaigning for him .....! "Muggs " and the other guy were only the begining ! Thats how Denes intends to promote
his work.

Re: Airfield photos Bessarabia, Moldova, Ukraine,Bucovina

Mike, at the least the last one showed up by his real nick !

Re: Airfield photos Bessarabia, Moldova, Ukraine,Bucovina

Re: Airfield photos Bessarabia, Moldova, Ukraine,Bucovina

Mike, you name it that's the pattern, first one and later with the rest of his "supporters "....how could I forget it !

researcher111 14th July 2013 12:38

Re: Airfield photos Bessarabia, Moldova, Ukraine,Bucovina

Mark,Walter, Mike, suggest you post your comments on here rather through Pvt posts...as long as they don't call me names
it's A OK rest assured I will act as soon as the campaign from Romania will become harassing ....its starts this way
and with his supporters such as Muggs,Melinte, Arma, etc the rest follows later on .

researcher111 14th July 2013 13:03

Re: Airfield photos Bessarabia, Moldova, Ukraine,Bucovina

Dan, thanks for your Pvt ...why don't you post on here the stuff ? The issue with Denes Bernard is that he doesn't accept criticism and ressorts to his Romanian "campaigners " as soon as someone dares to criticise him..... It's standard procedure with him and totally self defeating , I heard all this from other concerned parties. Do you by chance know "muggs " real name coze this guy harassed my German site too ? He is running a Facebook site called WWII Romania with lots of Ebay.de photos which appearently illegally obtained, cleaned and then posted. He's been doing this since years , coze in Romania there are no legal ways to claim fraud and copy rights infringement.

Nevertheless, I wish Denes and his buddies joy and happines with their games.

PS : Denes must be experiencing lots of disagreements around , coze otherwise won't be so suspicious at me at the very first begining , when in fact we never spoke before . I strongly recommed you post all your PvT messages on here !

researcher111, The object here is to exchange information about aviation history, not to exchange insults. If you want to participate in TOCH, you'll be polite and you will not throw accusations around. You will not be conducting feuds with other people here and you won't be accusing people of crimes. If you have evidence of law-breaking you can take it to the police.
