Re: Trial
Nick,
I'm trying to upload a post with six Flickr links: a very interesting set of pictures taken at Flensburg-Weiche during Summer 1945… And no way to put the links through… I get since 12.00 a 503 service unavailable message error… Something wrong with server? Marc |

Re: New 1945 Flensburg-Weiche pictures
It took me 9.30 hours to successfully upload the links in post 4…
It would be great to sort that technical glitch out… Thanks in advance! Marc |
Re: New 1945 Flensburg-Weiche pictures
Marc, Great thanks
Can not help on your tech glitc, but both Ju 188´s wrecks seem ultra rare Ju 188 D-2 from ATG, first is (D-2 U3 also?) 230774 and then the D-2 U3 W.Nr. 230756. I knew of one U2 before but "D-2 U3" is really some rare news! And Ju 86 was 0010 D-ALOZ "Zugspitze", thought scrapped Flensburg (other foto of it is known before this one) Wow - I hope that be something to your reward! -Ed |
Re: New 1945 Flensburg-Weiche pictures
It sure is a great reward, Ed!
I noticed the Ju 188's with their very special stenciling under the cockpit. Glad it was of help;-). And a big thanks to John Law who uploaded those pics taken by his late father. Cheers Marc |

Re: New 1945 Flensburg-Weiche pictures
Whats with the RAF/French roundels on the He177?
MS |
Re: New 1945 Flensburg-Weiche pictures
What He 177, where? ;-)

Re: New 1945 Flensburg-Weiche pictures
Mark,
Do 217M-11 WNr. 723040 KF+JN used most probably before by Erprobungsstelle Karlshagen for Fritz X trials became repainted with British roundels for shipment to the UK. But was later scrapped on site. |
Re: New 1945 Flensburg-Weiche pictures
No 3. not G-1, rather G-6 if that Jumo 213 lying in front belonged to it.

Re: New 1945 Flensburg-Weiche pictures
Hi Merlin
Post 12 - Is it possible that the Stkz is in the KE+J series rather than the KF+J series Regards Tom |
Re: New 1945 Flensburg-Weiche pictures
Tom,
KE+JA to KE+JD were the first four Do 217K-0 aircraft. |
Re: New 1945 Flensburg-Weiche pictures
Hi Merlin
Thanks for this - I do have these listed but there appears to be issues here with Stkz blocks for this. I have also 4401 to 4426 as RD+JA to RD+JZ I have other types in the KF+J series hence my question as to whether this block from 72.3001 to 72.3026 should be in the KE+J series. All of references I have to the Stkz being KF+JN the photos do not clearly show the full Stkz the E or F is unclear. Regards Tom |
Re: New 1945 Flensburg-Weiche pictures
Oops sorry Ed. Looked at the nose and immediately went to He-177 without looking at post :)
Thanks Merlin. |
