Anyone know where I might obtain a picture of Do17z (7T+EL) of 3./606 - or any Do17z of ./606?

I have a few photos of Do 17 Z-5s of 1/606 (being used in an article in next BaW by the way) but this unit is one of which very few photos have surfaced Chris |
Re: Do17z 3./606

Chris & Junker,
Thanks for getting in touch. You both have PM. Bill |
Re: Do17z 3./606
If a ./606 ship strike report includes the following note: " Wind: Süd. Stärke 10 m/sk ", what does '10 m/sk' mean?

Bill
Must be Sekonde (second) ie 10 meters per second (which is just about the general headwind I always experience when I try to use my bike....:D) Cheers Stig |
Re: Do17z 3./606
So Stig, not bad , you run quite 40 km/h, relativ Wind

Re: Do17z 3./606
Stig/Remi,
Thanks for replying. Thought it might be 10 meters per sec. - but exoected km/h to be the usual measurement. Why on earth m/sk? Stig, as Remi says, if your own pedalling generally creates a headwind of 36km/h then you're a pretty fit cookie! Brings back memories of another time, another place - another age!. Thanks for the help - and the memories. Bill |
Re: Do17z 3./606
Indeed Bill
However never said anything about my own speed in relation to the headwind... :o. It was quite a bit faster in the good old days, and at least in relation to the bike now mostly has turned into just old days....;) In my own mind Gothenburg, where I live (sometimes called Little London) should be called Little Chicago due to this d..n headwind. Strangely it makes no difference to where I route myself, its always a headwind, even when I turn back... Give up biking? Nahh, never!!:D Cheers Stig PS: Tried to find out when the measurement meter/sec was first used. Failed. However, it seems to be quite a convenient measurement since you can measure it largely with your eyes (if you practice a bit), so I am positive it goes back in history quite a while. |

Stig,
Thanks for looking - and the chat. Keep well. Bill |
Re: Do17z 3./606
"Why on earth m/sk?"
Normal european standard to messure wind. Either that or in knots. Junker |
