This photo here is being sold by seller lunalisa1 aka Mike Schwarz. The same photo was sold here by seller contra72 aka Carmen Schwarz, the latter photo being a modern reproduction.

Mike & Carmen are definitely related since their VAT number is the same: DE 246137382.

I am afraid that this is becoming increasingly common because of the stupid prices demanded by some sellers and paid by some buyers. I have bought photos which are 100% genuine only to see other copies, said to be original, appearing on eBay. Caveat Emptor

The fun was, when I used to hunt photos on eBay, to approach sellers and tell them I was not collecting original photos but I was ready to buy a digitalized copy at a reasonnable price. Or how to kill two birds with one stone.
And believe me, it worked!
Business is business.

'modern' repros ? ..no, I doubt he's ever seen the original - the quality is too poor - but simply 'processed' a previously displayed and 'copyright-marked' image and reprinted it. Perfectly possible to do, some on the Net do it all the time with images that have Ebay 'marks' on them..the retouching that is, not necessarily the re-selling. Not only is it ripping off potential purchasers it's tantamount to creating 'fake' history..

The seller sell faked reproductions from earlier auctions. One good example:

Notice the area of the swastika. Same retouch marks.
Attached the original auction photo from ~2013, and my cleaned photo on my site, that was not used.

" ..that was not used .." ? not sure what you mean ..how can you be sure ? some of these images this seller is offering already appear 'cleaned-up' on your site. Why would this seller go to the trouble of cleaning them up as well - the resolution is poor enough for them to simply be print-outs. Just be clear, all I'm accusing you of doing is 'cleaning up' Ebay photos and then posting them 'clean' on your site..

Yes indeed Mark. The same photos are offered for sale at eBay USA here and here by Michael Schwarz under his alias of contra72.

Again as "ORIGINAL PHOTO" of course.
