Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
Hi guys
Something for the evening. "Me 262 and JG2 "Richthofen"............something I don't know? Heidelburg???? Maybe EJG 2, they were operating Me262. Was the EJG2 ever a part of the JG2? http://www.ebay.com/itm/German-Luftw...8AAOxyACJR5y60 Interesting the price !!!! Regards Harold |
Re: Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
Nothing to do with JG 2 Richthofen, the (entirely separate) Me 262 unit was III./EJG 2. A bit of an oversight to leave out a Werk Nummer, pilot's name or actual date, if this "Alpine victory" is more than artistic licence.
What's more, Heidelberg spelt with an "e" is far from "Alpine", so perhaps there's a "... burg" unknown to Google Earth? |
Re: Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
Could not resist to ask him a question on his auction... sorry for being...

Re: Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
Hi Andreas
Well, as he wrote: "Don't hesitate to ask" :D..... Already got an answer? Have a nice weekend Harold |
Re: Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
Beware this seller!

no - no answer yet ;) - I wait for him to confirm it genuine... I got a Flugbuch that he should be interested in buying from me then... I could make it match his data and print it out for him :D :D :D Andreas |
Re: Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
Haha, very good idea.
Here's another genuine relic....same seller http://m.ebay.com/itm/Luftwaffe-Mess...ATCHING_ACTIVE Enjoy |
Re: Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
A real charmer. Glad he like my design of the NJG1 Wappen variant, which he used without asking. A real copyright violation.

Re: Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
It gets interesting from post #16: https://ww2aircraft.net/forum/thread...on-cole.35695/
The original artists reply is on post #23. He was also selling personally signed Galland signatures in black ink on another piece of artwork again using a digital art piece created by another artist in April 2005, 10 years after Galland's death... Ron Cole Wikipedia !!! |
Re: Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
Yes evidently he likes to copy and paste.

Re: Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
Thanks guys, I see what kind of a bad story is behind all this.
Now I'm really surprised that there is no autograph somewhere on the "relic" like:" This is a part of my plane, sig. H.W.Schnaufer"..... By the way, I forgot, I have some genuine toilet paper rolls for sale, signed by Hermann Goering, for only $ 160.00 each, as well as the original construction plans for Germania, signed by my good friend Albert Speer, for only $ 1500.00 each. A real bargain. I wish you all a nice weekend |
Re: Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
Dear All,
It's good to see us lighten up every once in a while. I'm enjoying the good natured banter. Regards, Richard |
Re: Me 262 & JG2 "Richthofen"
Hehe... well, he does not want to get into a discussion with me :) - he thinks I have not "honest intentions of purchasing" :D - how so? I told him that a true piece of aviation history would deserve a better description than an incorrect Geschwader and a misspelled and mislocated place :D
Too bad you cannot visibly comment on eBay and in order to comment on the seller, one would have to buy... Andreas |
