Hi,

Have done a little bit of research on the net and discovered he died on 30.05.1944 in Athens.

Can anyone provide which unit he was with?

Put in Josef Gehrer 30.05.1944

And brought up Todesland - base portal

Where they had some basis information and a poor quality foto

Just realised I have his Sterbebild too.

This states he was an Oberfeldwebel with the EK I and II.

Killed in the South East

Tatoi indeed in South-west , that is an airplace near Athens, at those days occupied by the germans, now sold to the Chines probably

Do you know how this He 111 was destroyed?
