Seeking contact with Dirk Lehmann

Hello all,

For a specific question I would like to get into contact with Dirk Lehmann who was active on the TOCH. Does he have a new user nickname perhaps?

Many thanks in advance, Marcel

Hey Dirk, great to hear you're well! Hope you're not still ploughing through the Ops manuals :-(

Hello Simon,

as you know, the EASA will take care, that we will not get bored with old regulations and continues to create new ones or change existing.
Especially in your field of operations they introduced some big changes.
(HOFO etc.)
So the operators have nearly no time to change the manuals in the same speed.

Regards

Dirk

Hello Dan,

the HW 5 series from the National Archive in Kew are the Ultra-messages, brought to a better readable format.
I can send you examples to your E-Mail address, if you like.

Some background here, based on my acquaintance with the 1944–45 material: http://www.ghostbombers.com/Ultra/ultra_05.html#top

Very interesting reading Nick, and thank you! Now that I see much of this info from you, I can see how I had to reinvent the wheel back when I was doing the initial research for my book LOL Take care, Dan

"I can see how I had to reinvent the wheel"

Dan, I feel like I've been doing that since I got started on the messages in '89 — trying to grasp the meaning of all this stuff that thousands of people once knew and understood as part of their daily work.

Correct Nick. But at the end of the war, I guess they never thought people would be fascinated by it 75 years later!
