Hello,

The Harvard serial should read "AJ807", not AJ907. The aircraft was allocated to 55 Repair & Servicing Unit RAF in the Middle East - struck off charge 8 April 1943.

Yes AJ807 is correct. 907 went to Canada! Think it is at least the second time the photo is offered on e-bay. I only have the first edition of the AA-AZ register where it is listed only to the ME....

The aircraft (and unit) is not really something you expect to be captured or be spearheading the frontline. Perhaps something which was left behind during one of the German's massive offensives?

Hi Snautzer,

there is Hurricane P2959 SDoR (not visible) from 501. SQ.
Place is scrapyard of No.21 Aircraft Depot at Nantes - Chateau Bougon.

I have more photos from e-bay - there is possibly 7 wrecks of Fairey Battle and next Hurricane, but I have not more info about this Hurri....
