"Dank der Hinweise und Informationen von Junkers-Peter wissen wir, dass es noch mehr Passagiermaschinen der Ju88 gab. So flogen bei der Lufthansa 1944/45 drei Junkers Ju88 S-3 als D-ASHJ „Panther", D-ASHK „Wolf" sowie D-ASHM „Jaguar" lost D-ASHM 22 april 45 Berlin Travemunde (verschollen) |

WNr 331394 D-ASHJ WNr 331397 D-ASHK WNr 331402 D-ASHM All three in use from Sep 1944 until the end of the war. Is the loss of D.ASHM verified? Ott has no fate for any of the three listed. Cheers Stig |

Re: Ju 88 In lufthansa service
Indeed Snautzer, indeed
Ott's Lufthansa book is by no means "scientific", where we get treated with an endless number of footnotes listing sources for each and every detail. However, I am quite familiar with Ott and his previous works and also his involvement with AGL and I trust what he states is not pure fiction. "Your man" Stedinger is unknown to me, which makes me a bit more uncertain about his statements, hence my rather rethorical question (thinking out loud I guess). No intention by me to say that Stedinger's statement is wrong! Cheers Stig |
Re: Ju 88 In lufthansa service
Stedinger Verlag is the publisher, Hans Werner Neulen is the author ...

Well H-W Neulen is very familiar to me, and I have a few of his books, but not this one. As far as I can tell, he is not prone to guesswork either :) Cheers Stig |
Re: Ju 88 In lufthansa service
there must be sources i guess. Combining type wrknr and name, we get for now:

Re: Ju 88 In lufthansa service
Hello!
The source for the information about Lufthansa's Ju 88 comes from the "Flugzeugverzeichnis Nr.53" (aircraftlist No.53) of the DHL, dated 5.März 1945. Faksimile of that list was published in Werner Bittner's "Die Lufthansa im Krieg-die Jahre 1939-1945", Volume 2 |

So now we know the details are correct. Cheers Stig |

If I knew more, I possibly not tell. As I don´t, I can. But see a possible fault .. (True or False). So I do know. Also know of "others". So I appear know more, but will say only this ... DLH age 19 years (Jan 1926). About 2,7 lists per year. (DLH formed 01.1926. List No. 53 - March 45). One list every 4,4 months or so. List No. 52 then was November 1944?? Does this list exist for confirmation? Does it contain Ju 88´s? Stig are "details that ere correct" which? Ed "through in - now out!" Not an attack or anything remotetly similar. |

Re: Ju 88 In lufthansa service
Not seen any "confirmation" but possibly someone can forward this.
And now this happened. So "likely confirmed" but so far only based on one doc from above mentioned book. |
