The abbreviation

In the document I found the name of the pilot in this form.
L.W. W.Ratt SS Fr.d.
Does anyone know what means an abbreviations Fr.d. ? L.W. is Luftwaffe of course. SS is as well clear, but what is it Fr.d?

Hello Peter

A possibility could be "Freiwilligen Division".

and where does the document come from?

Re: The abbreviation

This is a Slovak postwar doccument, but undoubtedly writen according to German, or Slovak war doccuments. This pilot supported SS Schill unit in its attack against Slovak uprisers and was shot down.

I think that should it be so it would be written as Fr. D. Hi Peter, is it written in the document as Fr. d. or Fr. D.?

Is it the original German document or re-written text somewhere in the newspapers?

Then I think it can be a typo and the correct abbreviation is Fr. D.
