Clint
Tag does not work for me. All I get is a general google spot and no obvious connection to your photo. Cheers Stig |

Joking aside, I think I can see the two last digits being 78 which sort of takes care of the rest. Not 100% since the scan (or photo) is not great, but the best I can do! Cheers Stig |
Re: Photos Avro Aircraft
Hello,
Currently on ebay is a photo of Avro 504A 7737. Thought I'd post it bearing in mind Nick's comment on the W2 under the cockpit on a DH.9. Most of the script on theis aircraft seems straightforward, but T.A. ? Also is that a camera on the lower wing or perhaps something else? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335602060...Bk9SR9KqyJTMZA Regards, Clint |
Re: Photos Avro Aircraft
"TA" is the current doping scheme, British Aeroplane Varnish Co. 'TITANINE A'. Later marked on the rudder stripe.
"RA" was Royal Aircraft Factory A. "CA" was Cellon Ltd. A. "EA" was British Emaillite A. The device is a Type "C" aerial camera, must have slowed the aeroplane down somewhat. Nick https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerial...nce_camera.jpg |
