I seeking info & photoes of Hptm. Wilfried Herrmann, Gr.Kdre. of I./ZG 1 "Wespe" during Battle of Kursk.

He received direct hit from Flak on 14-07-43 near Krapiwna in his Bf110G-2, S9+FB, 6327 and both crew killed...

Any information about his biography?

BTW: I am not sure, that "IL-4" is a "IL-4 2-engined bomber"... I think it it usual missindentification, & this "IL-4" is same as "IL-2 mit heckschutze", "IL-5", "IL-7", "IL-9" :)

Now Il-4 was not a misidentifciation of the Il-2, it was a two-engined medium bomber (also called DB-3 IIRC).

Another claim on 29.12.42 for an Il-2. Herrmann was awarded the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on 12.07.43.

about IL-2 on 1942 - i found it in lists, thx..

I am Russian, and.... I know that IL-4 is DB-3 ("Dal'nij Bombardirovschik" = "Long range Bomber") :)

But it seemd to me very strange a lots of claims over Lang Range Bomber Aviation... May be thay attacked german airfields, or... I dunno, may be I./ZG 1 "Wespe" was on patrolling missions...

I will ask my friend-historians from Russia to clear this, & may be I will find the name of regiments of that bombers...

I also have a R-5 at 1045hrs on 21st April 1943 at an altitude of 10 metres.

Hallo gents!

At this moment, I dont know "another" Herrmann with Erpr.Gr.210>I./SKG210>I./ZG1, so it must be the same man.

I have here a photo of Bf110E-2 S9+HB of Stab I./SKG210, with 4 abschusse and numerous ground target kills on fin. Caption states, "Konotop" that means photo was taken at autumn 1941, in Ukraine.

Could it be Lt. Herrmann's aircraft? If so, he must have 4 additional victories to his tally.

I am quite sure they are two different persons. I have a picture of a Lt. Hardi Hermann taken in the summer of 1940 with Erpr.Gr. 210. He is wearing EK I and FF-Spange. He was in the Stab of Erpr.Gr. 210.

He is definetely not the same guy as Hptm. Wilfried Her(r)mann, born 14.12.1914 of I./ZG 1. Note that the VDK Datenbank has Wilfried Herrmann as Hermann. Not sure what is correct.

Several years ago I was in touch with one of the visitors of this board whose father was ground crew with Hptm. Herrmann. I received the scans of his fathers soldbuch with some remarks on his 'chief'. Unfortunately I am no longer able to find those scans or the contact to the person I received them from...

But I am still under a mistery:
At moment, I have only 2 names of Stab I./SKG210 pilots, and both were Gr.Kdr.
I have no other names, and THAT IS A PROBLEM.
