Hi, guys

Anyone able to read the name of the pilot flying FW 190A-6 WNr 531082, wounded on the above mentioned date. I am unable to decipher the handwritten correction...

Correction reported on 04.10.1944 and thus not available at BA/MA

Pawel looks right first letter is S so störklmann or better Stöcklmann

Hi, the name written there is the one of Uffz Stubsmann, Hans ...... that's what i can read so far .....

Shame on me, now i got your correct request, disreguard my first reply - i was checking the wrong subject ...... Sütterlin is very special, i will see if i can help you ...... Sometimes you should not react in a hurry .....

...perhaps reversing the image will make deciphering the hand-written text easier to read...?

I believe it's "Kurrent" and not Sütterlin --- if I read my book "Die deutsche Schreibschrift" correct the name would be "Stöcksmann" like Pawel said.

Ok, here a last try ..... I just tried to contact my father regarding the requested name, maybe you know him, he is meanwhile one of the last survivors of former German WWII fighters today .... Karl Georg Genth - a former JG 26 pilot - but unfortunately he was not available at this moment ! But my mother responded me - she is also very capable of reading old German handwritings, and she told me, that the subject is indeed hard to read, but she saw something like Nördersmann or Nordermann as the pilots name ! I trust her very much, so this is my last statement to this subject ... :o)

its not Sütterlin its kurrent

and the sig is "Stubsmann"

watch to the first letter its a S in Kurrent
typical to is the 2. s the name

Sorry, but I must disagree. Above all what would be the point correcting Stubsmann to Stubsmann?
