Possibly Boeing F4B-2 A-8625 (MSN 1404) LA JOLLA CA

Would like confirmation please

Moss later was Captain USS BELLEAU WOOD (CV-24)

No further info on this incident what so ever - Cannolt track down even simople info and a confirmation

Maybe because over shadowed by other incident on same day -OR because it happened at sea on Aircraft Carrier ?

The aircraft was F4B-2, A-8623, of VF-6B. Moss was making a gunnery run on a towed target when he stalled and entered an inverted spin at 4,000 ft. He left the aircraft at about 300 ft. and was injured on hitting the ground.
