I notice that the He 219 is captioned As "Dornier 217 J-2 with FuG"!

Indeed Nick,

like for many museums, captions could be greatly enhanced. You can by the way interact by filling in directly your comment on each of the scanned photo.

No, the museums should consult experts. Not let public do the job for them.
Most likely "Dornier" comes from just such "help".

Thanks Marc, my Danish didn't stretch that far, despite watching all three series of "Borgen".

By the way, I'd suggest that this is He 219 A-0, W.Nr. 210901, B4+AA of Nachtjagdstaffel Norwegen.
