Re: Photos 3-7
Hello,
Anybody could identify this Spitfire ? Serial PS5?0 coded YQ-? What happened to the pilot ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=390166187154 Again thanks Ed, Regards Loic |
Re: Photos 3-7
Well Loic, I echo that:D
However prefix PS is impossible and I checked the prefix BS which is much more likely, but since the code YQ stood for 616 Sq and there is no 616 Sq allocation from the batch BS500 to BS559 it seems even this theory goes down the drain. I also checked the P55xx with a thought that a truly lousy painter had been in action here, but not so, since I am staring at cancelled batches doing just that. So if what looks like the letter P is neither a P or a B, what the %&/% is it? (Oh well, no that mad really:)) Cheers Stig |
