We have received sad news... a pilot of 307 Squadron, Walter (Władysław) Świrski, has passed away at his home in Waterdown, Ontario, Canada.
In 1939 Walter was taken prisoner by the Russians, then joined the Polish Army under General Anders in the Middle East.
He was transferred to Great Britain where he joined the Polish Air Force and served as a pilot.
He was one of the last veterans of 307 Squadron.
We unite in pain with Walter's family and offer our most sincere condolences.
