Searching photos on the Flakbatterie 37/VII with their Hdq in Istein /Baden mainly manned by Hitler Jugend boys from Gymnasiums Weil Am Rhein Loerrach,Muelheim as well by sailors Reichsmarine Loerrach in charge with Rhine River defenses devided in 3 companies under command of Luftwaffe, the 4th company was manned by Alsace recruits . I know its very hard to get such stuff but I will reciprocate with other material which may be needed .

Alex -

How could it be a Heimat-Flakbatterie if it had 4 Kompanien? Do you really mean it had 4 Züge or do you mean it was a Heimat-Flakabteilung instead of a Heimat-Flakbatterie?

My notes have le. Heimat-Flakbatterie 37/VII at Kembs, one of which is 52 km E of Kiel in Schleswig-Holstein, 2 more in North Germany and the last one 14.3 km SE of Mulhouse in France on the west bank of the Rhein.

In the translation above, wherever the term "anti-aircraft division" appears followed by a 3-digit number, it should be replaced with the term "anti-aircraft Abteilung or battalion" followed by the 3-digit number. The Google translator does not have "Abteilung" in its data base so it incorrectly translates it as "division". On the other hand, the terms "anti-aircraft division 26" and "anti-aircraft division 28" are correct.

P.S. - here is the original German of the translation above:

Thank you, Larry. Next time I'll put the original German text after the translation.

Thanks, Ed. I just wanted to get it right because the Heimat-Flak is a pretty obscure subject that few here are familiar with.
