Lt Bellaire

The above was with KG 40 in 1943 but nothing is known about him. An Oblt Ernst Bellaire (born 16 Sep 18) was killed near Vreden on 29 Dec 44. Larry and Doug say this chap was with JG 2 and killed 29 Dec 44 with JG 26 but there is no mention in Don Caldwell's book. It would appear he was with Stab/JG 54 but any suggestions?

I have:
1944-12-29, Stab III/JG 54, Fw 190 D-9, 210016, 3 schw, Bei Köckelwick, 4 km nordöstlich Vreden
Flugzeugführer Olt Bellaire, Ernst, +
Luftkampf mit Jägern. Bruch 100 %. He had an EKM issued by 12./KG 40.
