Information concerning loss of Oberfeldwebel Karl Koller - fell - 22.10.1944

Hi,

Can anyone please provide details over the loss of Oberfeldwebel Karl Koller who was killed on the 22nd October 1944.

He was an experienced flier with many awards including the Spanish Cross, Golden Flight badge and EK1.

Any help would be appreciated.

Koller belongs to the 5.(Mitte)/Fl.Ü.G. 1, he crashed with a Ju 88 G-6 southwest of Werneuchen, Bf Fw. Rieder and Bw Ofw. Januchowski also died in the crash.

Hi,

Would he have been delivering this aircraft to a front line unit? If so, would this role be temporary as he was obviously a front line , operational pilot considering his awards?
