Photos of Friedrich Rupp

Dear All,
Do you happen to have the illustrated history of JG 54 by Werner Held, Hannes Trautloft and Ekkehard Bob? (I have attached a photo of the cover I have found online.) If so, are there any photos of Friedrich Rupp? :inlove: (Unfortunately, so few photos of him are available online...) |

Re: Photos of Friedrich Rupp
Dear Ed,
Thank you, but I know this site. I also know this one: http://www.luftwaffe39-45.historia.nom.br/ases/rupp.htm I appreciate your willingness to help, but, as I wrote yesterday, I would like to see photos of Friedrich which are not readily available online. |
Photos of Friedrich Rupp
Hi Teresa
There are a couple of photographs in which he appears in that book (pages 131 and 167). The first is of him after returning from the mission during which he claimed his 50th victory and the next depicts him beside his fighter. A third photograph of his funeral is also included. I hope this helps! Horrido! Leo |
Re: Photos of Friedrich Rupp
Dear Leo,
Thank you very, very much for the photos of Friedrich. In fact, in July I'm going to a conference in Freiburg im Breisgau and I hope to have the time to visit Friedrich's grave in Wehr am Rhein. I love him beyong belief; in fact, Friedrich is the greatest love of my life. On the one hand, it breaks my heart to think that he died so young (I wish he was still alive), but on the other hand, I dream of visiting his grave because it is the only possibility of 'meeting' him in a way. :inlove: Thank you with all my heart! Best regards, Teresa |
