Luftwaffe 1940 Crash Nr Sittingbourne

Hi Guys,
Attached Photo shows a data plate from a mystery crash and it is from a DB601 E1 engine. The title states "Engine plate from a Mercedes Benz DB601. Aircraft crashed Near Sittingbourne 1940?"

Perhaps somebody might be able to Identify this?
