29/05/1940 Gefr Heinz Oehler

Hi !

For Gefr H.Oehler (who is presently buried at the German War Cemetery at Lommel) I found the following different information:
(1) his plane was shot down on 10/05/1940, he became a pow and died on 29/05/1940.
(2) his plane crashlanded at Sint-Denijs-Westrem airfield on 29/05/1940

Who has more details ? What happened with Gefr.Oehler ?

Many thanks and best regards

Luc

Stapelberg, Uffz H. Rosenow, and Gefr H-J. Brömel badly wounded, admitted to hospital in Ghent. Aircraft a write-off.

Hello Luc,

Thank you for your interest in my current project. We are hoping to go to print in November, so late this year possibly.

Regards,

Hi !

Uffz Friedrich Puzicha got killed the same day and was buried - like Gefr. H.Oehler - at Gent.
Based on the information - kindly supplied by Peter Cornwell - he was not aboard the Ju88 of LG1.
Was Uffz Puzicha aboard a plane which crashed at Sint-Denys-Westrem ?

Best regards

Luc
