F86 crash 1960

Hello all,

In 1960 there was a collision between two F86,s above Stadskanaal [Holland]
I really appreciate more info about this crash ,only thing i know it where German and one of them didn,t survive the collision .
Is there more info about pilot,s ? cause ? .On the internet is nothing .
Recently i,ve obtained some little parts of one of the F86 ,and background info is very welcome

Thanks in advance

No record of any Canadian built Luftwaffe Sabres lost in a collision in 1960. Did they Germans have other Sabres?

Thank you udf_00. My notes are obviously incomplete.

The collision was actually on 18 October 1960. Online archived Dutch newspapers report the Sabres collided head on at around 4 p.m.

Harrie: big parts of the Sabre of the killed pilot are said to have landed on a barn of Mr Adama, Boerendiep, Stadskanaal.
The barn later burned down.

The other Sabre came down behind the house of Mr. Van der Laan, Schoolkade, Nieuw-Buinen, west of the railtrack Stadskanaal-Ter Apel.

Perhaps one of these locations match the place where you found pieces of one the aircraft?

Groet,

Leendert

Thank you udf-00 ,mr Walker and Leendert, Well done all of you ! .To me especially the info from Leendert is very useful and yes you are almost right about the locations you given. The past days i,ve gathered some info about locals and they told me the barn collapsed in the evening and that one of the GAF pilots was sadly killed.
On the attachment there is a cap and a plate ,hopefully anybody recognize it .

Thank you all
