Information concerning loss of Uffz. Erich Schmelzer - killed 02.12.1942

Hi,

Can anyone provide information on the loss of Uffz. Erich Schmelzer who was killed on the 2nd or 5th December 1942?

He was on his 48th mission and had returned from the East to fly missions in the West.

He could have been on a mission to England and crashed near to Paris.?

This is me trying to read his sterbebild with only very poor German.

With thanks

Rick
