Re: Viktor Moelders passed away.
I'm admittedly ignorant of the career of Viktor Moelders. How many victories was he credited with and what front(s) did he fly in? Was he shot down and made a POW during the war?
Thanks, Kenneth |
Re: Viktor Moelders passed away.
He served with 1./ZG1, and got 7 victories to june 1940. Then, briefly with NJG1, and then was transferred to his brother's Geschwader, JG51, as StaKa of fighter-bomber Staffel, 2./JG51. With this unit he got 2 more victories untill october 1940, when he was shot down and prisoned in England.
