Q. D. Green, DFC - full name ?
Dear all,
Have tried and did not managed to find anything about a certain Flight Lieutenant Q. D. Green (or O. D. Green) which was awarded a D.F.C. He flew with the Royal Aircraft Establishment later, in 1942. Any help onto decyphering his full name and RAF service number most welcomed. Adriano S. Baumgartner |

Hi Adriano,
Possibly Gordon Douglas GREEN (83723). Best Regards Andy Fletcher |
Re: Q. D. Green, DFC - full name ?
Dear Andy,
Guess you matched it correctly....possibly as mis-read G for Q.... There is a mention to a flight with F/O Green on May 1942, with the RAE. A list of officers from the RAE do mention Q.D. Green, DFC.... Since Gordon Douglas Green, DFC was later awarded an Air Force Cross (AFC) in 1946, I do guess you have matched the person I am looking for. Thank you again Adriano S. Baumgartner |

Adriano,
Gordon Green did indeed serve as a test pilot at the RAE. Best Regards Andy Fletcher |
