Lt. Charles F. Kern (Ju88 Nightfighter) died
 

Hi all,

a great man Leutnant Charles F. Kern died at these days in Wolfsburg /Germany.
He was a German Nightfighter pilot and shot down a B-24 at 30. Mai1 944 over Belgium. The night flight of the B-24 was a secret OSS/SOE mission.
All crewmembers survived.
Mr. Kern meet some of them in 1994.

Sad,

Charles "Karl" Kern came back in Belgium about 15 years ago. He visited Florennes airbase, Cerfontaine and Fosses-la-Ville (where the B-24 he brought down crashed). More stories in the forecoming book about Florennes Fliegerhorst history.

Do you have any detail about his funeral?

no sorry I hasn´t any detail about his funeral.
I know him since some years and get the information about his dead from a local newspaper.
