Unusual Winter Flight Helmet LKpW 101 cabel

Hi,

I have LKpW 101 winter flight helmet with very unusual cabel.
The wire has on helmet side one jack (which is detachable), and on the opposit end two jacks. Guys please let me know if You have seen somethink like this before, or maybe somebody can tell- on what kind of an aircraft it was used. Please look at the attached picture.

It's definetly not for a German aircraft. Perhaps modified for a switchboard or some other post war use.

Mike

There are photos of luftwaffe personnel wearing flying helmets while in army radio shacks/caravans, while acting as contact between ground troops and air support units. Any chance these leads connected the flying helmet to the ground radios?

Thank You for comments.

Could You give me links to pics with ground crew wearing flight helmets.

What about any onboard radar, for which it could fit?

regards,
