The 354th Fighter Group - Need Group Roster

Hello,

The kind folks at the Boxted Airfield Historical Group are planning a commemorative database for the 354FG which was stationed there during the early days of their ETO operations during WWII.

Is there a good source of historical data for all personnel who were assigned to the 354FG? Any assistance greatly appreciated.

History in the Sky - 354th Pioneer Mustang Fighter Group, Editor: Capt. Arthur F. Brown has a roster.

Thank you, Peter, for your response. I'm looking for even more detail. We have sources listed below for much info but we're looking also for official lists of personnel assigned to the 354FG.

Books about the 354FG

1. History in the Sky (sadly, many of the portrait photos are not labeled with names)
2. The Pioneer Mustang Group: The 354th Fighter Group in WWII - Steve Blake's book on the 354thFG (most complete, ever)
3. The Oranges are Sweet by Paul Sailer (about Don Beerbower & 353FS)
4. Live Bait by Clayton Kelly Gross (about 355FS)
5. Big Friend, Little Friend by Richard Turner (about the 356FS)
6. Roar of the Tiger by James H. Howard (includes some info about the 356FS/354FG)

Then try getting a copy of the microfilmed unit records from AFHRA at Maxwell AFB. I have already given Richard a list of the 354th casualties whilst based at Boxted.

One more book is the Osprey book by William Hess, "354th Fighter Group"
