Crash of a Ju W34 on 3 February 1943

Hello,

On 3 February 1943, Fw Friedrich Mayer, an instructor at Königsberg/Neumark airfield, was killed when his Ju W34 crashed during an instrument flight.

I would like to add to the above:
_ the unit of Mayer
_ the WNr of the aircraft
_ the crashplace.

Thanks in advance

Laurent

Thanks Jim

The precise crashplace was very probably Bärwalde in der Neumark, Brandenburg, Germany (now Mieszkowice, Poland).

The aircraft was coming from Königsberg in der Neumark, now Chojna, Poland.
