Tiger Moths T5749 and T6267 1/9/42
Hi guys
I have extracted the following from another forum: 1 Sept 1942: Tiger Moth T5749 18 EFTS Fairoaks was stolen by 17-yr-old civilian Peter J. Thorpe, who crashed and was killed. I am keen to learn more about this incident. Has anything been written in a newspaper, magazine or book? On the same date, LAC M. Kanieski took Tiger Moth T6267 of 25 PEFTS on anunathorised flight; he survived. Again, I seek details. Cheers Brian |

For those uneducated amongst us, I shall translate:
http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/sho...0533#post70533 Brian, would have been too much to ask to have identified "the another forum" as being RAF Commands? Stephen |
Re: Tiger Moths T5749 and T6267 1/9/42
Air Britain says T5749 stalled on takeoff so the 'pilot' didn't get very far, whereas the other aircraft tipped up on landing, so the second person may have actually completed a circuit.
What a waste of a young life! |

Hi Stephen
Please pick on someone else for a change! I am being polite! Why not be positive? Have a nice day. Brian |
