Rudder pedals?

1 Attachment(s)
Gents,

Here are a kind of rudder pedals. There is no toe brake control so only rudder control.
Width : 50 cm
dimension of pedal : 23/13 cm

Neither marking nor stamp, only on the cast, back of pedal : B203347 1 / B203347 11. Looks like US.
For a glider, turret or even a link trainer...???

Thanks beforehand of your attention.

Hello
,
Do you have any context informations (where and when was the part found...)?
The linkage seems "heavy duty", and is unusual for an airplane. I explored the helicopters trail, such a strong system could have been used for a dual rotor craft, but neither the Chinook nor the 50's Piasecki are matching.

Re: Rudder pedals?

It also appears that there isn't any type of "brake" function for these pedals.

Hello,

Alas, NO info's about origin, etc.
Indeed, it looks sturdy.
There is some trace of metal melt (crash?) and a rough strut was added.

Allez, another picture to help...

Hello

Since they are no braking functions present, the part can also come from a big seaplane. No match with Short (Sunderland) nor Grumman (Albatross) but a possible with Blohm und Voss (BV 138 ?). Would be my best guess...

Thank you Jean for your relentless search but the part seems US made, see the figures on the alloy cast pedal.
No other stamp/marking.
Indeed a puzzling item...

Best research.

Re: Rudder pedals?

Hello Clint

To narrow the nationality of the assembly, it is possible to make precise mesurements , (with a sliding caliper) of the bolt heads and nuts, ideally with paint removed ? Metric, Imperial and US (who are not the same as the Imperial) bolt heads differ slightly (some tenths of a millimeter) for the usual 6 and 8 mm bolts and their equivalents.

Jean
