Identity of airman?
 

Hi,

I have just puchased a portrait of a young flier with notation on the back.

I honestly have no idea what his name is - it is there but in old German script.

What I do have is the date of his loss - 16.12.41 and the aircraft he was killed in - a He 111 p with its code - GH+MH - the second letter could be GA?

Not a lot to go on but I wonder if anyone could identify the crew of such a loss which I could compare his name to?

This could be a bit of research too far?

Hi,

I thinki it is Kohler i see with umlaut over the o but hasn't got Heinz before the surname - I wish I could send a scan to someone to confirm your plane.
