On 6th April 1941, Luftwaffe Loss records report:
2(F)/11. Dornier Do17 (3554). Unknown. Lt. Oskar Genrich (F), Lt. Hans Engelhardt (B), Uffz. Heinz Mänkemeier (Bf) all returned. Aircraft 100%. Dornier Do17 (4070). Reconnaissance sortie to Greece. Fw. Hans Wolfsen (F), Oblt. Heinrich Prüfer (B) and Uffz. Ewald Dubbert (Bf) all missing. Aircraft 100%. Does anyone know crash site of first Do17 and if the crew were captured? And crash site of second Do17 and fate of crew? Many thanks, Steve |

Oskar Genrich, Do 17 P1 (W.Nr. 3554) 100%, BO. Ltn. Hans Engelhardt, BF.Uffz. Heinz Menkemeier, shot down by RHAF MB.151, 24 Mira [or „Mira Dioxis“] (FF. 1/Lt. Panagiotis Smyrniopoulos with Δ 172) over the Delta of the river Strymon / Greece at 06.04.41. Crew captured, later freed |
