Re: EBay Photos -Seller Beware
A lot of Western Desert photos of abandoned Luftwaffe aircraft were subject to multiple printings and distribution.

Re: EBay Photos -Seller Beware
Agree that 80 years ago some photos were mass produced but for a seller who was not there at the time to have multiple original copies is a bit suspect

Re: EBay Photos -Seller Beware
I'm running across some manipulated photos. Check the faces of these two "men."
https://www.ebay.de/itm/Flak-auf-Eis...8AAOSwxaNbjCHM Possible plastic model combined with second image. Notice canopy area and lighting inconsistency. https://www.ebay.de/itm/Foto-Luftwaf...gAAOSwsClbiTsN Another possible model kit. Note the blurring and face pasted into the cockpit. https://www.ebay.de/itm/C801-Foto-We...EAAOSwPJxbiAuX |
Re: EBay Photos -Seller Beware
...and a second recorded letter with 2 eBay purchases from Germany has failed to arrive. Strange that both contained photos of RK winners. Sellers most apologetic but what is going on

Re: EBay Photos -Seller Beware
Not sure what you mean by 'recorded' - does that mean signed for? In Australia that's referred to as 'registered'.
Maybe try getting them sent in a box as a parcel with tracking? Cost?? I guess the determining factor here would be what percentage of mail is going astray - if you get lots then I guess getting them sent as parcels would be prohibitive. Maybe someone in the system knows who you are and is targetting you. Get them sent somewhere else? Peter |
Re: EBay Photos -Seller Beware
We have recorded delivery & registered post. Both are signed for. One costs more than the other & guarantees delivery with more compensation. Apparently speaking to both sellers this is an increasing problem

Re: EBay Photos -Seller Beware
Same seller is selling another copy of the same photo. So he had at least 3 copies???? Still will not accept PayPal. Suspect or what?

Re: EBay Photos -Seller Beware
Hello Chris.
Not a good scenario to get caught up in. I'd certainly be suspicious. But I thought all eBay sellers are REQUIRED to offer Paypal? I doubt I would ever buy from an eBayer by direct deposit. Too high a risk with no recourse. If I may ask, who is the seller? Positive feedback percentage? Peter |
Re: EBay Photos -Seller Beware
I would rather not name and shame for obvious legal reasons! I have never bought from him due to no PayPal. Others on 12 OCH have noticed who this person is.

Re: EBay Photos -Seller Beware
I will say another copy of the same photo is for sale by the same seller. Lucky man to have always many original copies of the same photo..........
