Need more info on Bf109 F2 Wnr 6687 GC + FU
 

Production date?
Was in a group of F2`s on weapon tests in 1 - 4. 1941 any more info on this ?
In service with 6/ IIJg53 and had a accident 10.7.41 15% damage at Alt-Schwaneburg, any more info on this.

Next accsident is with 2 / I Jg5 at Sola in 12.6.1942( prien) 15% damage. See that Mombeek has a different date (10 or 16 ).

Any photos or more info is most welkome.

Hello Ernst,

this Bf 109 F-2 belonged to the Werknummer-Block 6651-6822, built by the Wiener Neustädter Flugzeugwerke (WNF) from January to April 1941.

The emergency landing on 10 July 1941 was caused by an engine trouble (in German "Motorstörung"). Gen.Qu. loss report from 16 July 1941 No.11.

The accident at the airfield Sola on 12 June 1942 was a landing accident (in German "bei Landung ausgebrochen"). Gen.Qu. loss report from 13 June 1942 No.79.

After the Sola accident the aircraft was ferried to Kjeller for repair but they noticed they could not do the job and on 27.07.42 it was shipped to Germany.

I do not have any further entries for this one.

Tanks for the information both of you. Gerhard do you have a original document from Kjeller saying this, and is it possible to get a copy?
As we have found out, this aircarft is the " main " airframe on the re- build of G2 14055 from antwerpen. Must be more damage in the structure than 15% then.

Hi Gerhard, do your information say anything about the aircrafts tacktical number ( black 8 - 9 - 3 etc) when the craft was ferried to Kjeller for repair.

There was no tactical number listed in the repair shop document.

Ernst, is rear end of fuselage from 6687 or 12055.
Firewall section or cockpit in did not count as ´main part´.
From 1937 Luftwaffe aircraft were dismantled after accidents and parts shipped to repair stations, and on assembly whatever part was ready was used, to speed up re-entry in service. Rear part of fuselage provided the W.Nr.
