Aircraft F-ANPO ID?

Could anyome please advise the type of aircraft shown in this photo,registration F-ANPO or possibly F-ANPQ?

Looks like it could be a Hanriot 32, tricky little beast to find a photo
but the attached wiki picture.... ignore the H34 but the aircraft on the right
pretty much matches your bird. Stuts -Nearly full lenght alilerons -U/C.

Thanks for the reply. I think you've identified the aircraft correctly,struts,squared off wing tips,horseshoe cowling and the 'wiry' undercarriage all seem to fit.

While I agree that the aircraft is a Hanriot, may I remind everyone that the HD 32 was little more
than a refined HD 14.

The HD 14 was reportedly built in some 2000 examples (a number I have a hard time to believe)
At least 100 came on the civil market, most probably after military use.

The number of HD 32 built is unknown, but 45 came on the civil register, most probably post military
service, plus one HD 320 and 11 HD 321

For some odd reason, neither F-ANPO nor ANPQ have a known aircraft attached to them.

Remarkably few photos of either type is known (at least to me) and of course a good coverage of
the company has never been published.

Hi Stig,


While I would agree that there are some possibilities for the machine shown to be another Hanriot product other than the HD.32, I don't believe that an HD.14 is a possibility as most photos seem to show twin wheels,even where this may not be the case the undercarriage arrangement varies from that shown by F-ANPO.


Something from Lela Press on Hanriot's products would definitely be welcome.

I wish for a lot of books from them.... :)

Unfortunately I have too little on my feet to claim that every HD 14 actually used a twin-wheel arrangement,
or that when becoming civil was never modified.

Not saying the aircraft shown is not a HD 32 but that we should be cautious

OK,

I'm going to post a link to a couple of photos I posted in a thread here in September 2019. I think it fair to say that the consensus which emerged at that time was that the photos were of A HD.32. I have to agree with Stig,we can't be certain that F-ANPO is also a HD.32,but it looks very simialar
