Another for our Russian experts!
Hi guys
On 18 September 1942, three Soviet twin-engine aircraft from 13-AP/SF were lost in the Kola Peninsular area. The pilots were Lyt Aleksandr Shokurov, Kapt Georgy Kuzin and Serz. Petr Kislev. Do we know what type of aircraft and reasons for their loss? Cheers Brian |
Re: Another for our Russian experts!
A Pe-3 in fatal AC accident during transfer flight (Yagodnik-Panoy).

Re: Another for our Russian experts!
Thanks, Gabor.
So all three aircraft were Pe-3s - and all lost in accidents? Cheers Brian |
Re: Another for our Russian experts!
No.
1Lt. Aleksandr Fedorovich Shokurov (dept.comm. 1st Sq., 13 AP) was MIA along with 1Lt. Grigorii Prokofevich Digovtsev (adjutant, 1st Sq.). Probably in a Pe-3? Capt. Georgii Ivanovich Kuzin (dept.comm. 2nd Sq., 13 AP) was lost in transfer accident in Pe-3. St.Sgt. Petr Vasilevich Kiselev (pilot, 2nd Sq., 13 AP) was also lost in transfer accident in Pe-3. (Other crew members involved in the accidents were: Rodin, Homenok and Ananev. Perhaps it was a mid-air collision????) Gabor |
