Mario Semolich 163 Sqd, 161 Gruppo Rhodes
 

Hi guys

Seeking any information regarding the above, a Serbian who served with the Italians. Apparently operated from Rhodes June 1941-May 1942, and claimed a Wellington and a Baltimore (or possibly a share of each).

Well, if he was Mario, or Marijo (I doubt his name was Marij), he would have been more likely a Croatian. To be quite honest, I have never come across a Serb with such name.

If I remember correctly, he claimed to have 11 or 13 victories in his statement when joining 352 Sqn (although his actual score was much lower) and included something from Greek islands. I'll have to check it...
