Battle of Britain - RAF Unedited film
Links below to movietone footage shot at RAF stations during summer 1940. Many will recognise a few shots but this is the raw unedited film without the wartime newreel gloss. Will be of interest I'm sure.

Re: Battle of Britain - RAF Unedited film
Great stuff, Phil. Thanks for posting! We don't know is these were "real" scrambles or staged, but interesting, none the less, to see the "real" guys do it.
Lots of bouncing on the grass fields. What happened to T/Os and landings when it rained hard? |
Re: Battle of Britain - RAF Unedited film
Phil,
Many thanks. I was able to obtain three new aircraft serial/letter combinations from those films. Regards, Martin Gleeson. |

Another interesting footage, this time Spitfires of 19 sqn including X4179 QV-B and its pilot, likely to be Francis Brinsden. Pilots of 310 and 302 sqns depicted as well. Enjoy. David |
