A question for John Vasco Erpr.Gr.210

Hi John, or indeed anybody else who can answer!

Im looking for particular information on personel of the above unit.
I am looking for the following:

Oblt. Horst Fiedler was the Gruppe Adjutant of Erpr.Gr.210 Kia 15.8.40
Who replaced Fiedler, as Grp Adj ?

Lt. Karl-Heinz Koch was the Gruppe Technical Officer of the same unit,
also failed to return on 15.8.40.
Again who replaced Koch as Grp Tech officer?

If you can help at all i'd be grateful.
Rgs,
Steve.

Steve:

Horst Fiedler, shot down 15/8/40, died 3 days later in hospital.

When Fiedler was lost in action, Oberleutnant Werner Weymann became acting-Adjutant.

On 4/9/40 Hptm Hans von Boltenstern was lost in action. As a result. Oblt. Martin Lutz (Staka of 1. Staffel) became acting-Gruppenkommandeur; Werner Weymann moved from acting-Adjutant to acting-Staka of 1. Staffel, and Wolfgang Schenck, who reported back to his old Staffel (previously 1./ZG 1, re-designated 1./Erpr. Gr. 210) after recovering from wounds received during the western camapign in May immediately took on the role of Adjutant.

When Martin Lutz was killed in action on 27/9/40, Werner Weymann became acting-Gruppenkommandeur, Schenck moved to acting-Staka of 1. Staffel, and Leutnant Hermann became Adjutant.

Sorry, I don't know who replaced Koch as TO.

Hope this helps,

John Vasco

Hiya John.
Many thanks for the information regarding Grp Stab personel.
This is most helpful, however, do you have any information regarding the a/c flown by Schenck, codes or markings, on his return to the unit.
many thanks.

Rgs,
Steve.

Steve,

In a word: No.

The only known a/c flown by Schenck that is identified by a photograph taken in September 1941 is S9+AH when with SKG 210. There are other photos that I have of him with his Bf 110 (See Sting of the Luftwaffe) but they do not show the a/c codes.

Sorry to have not been of more help.

Hi John.
Many thanks for your help, pity about Schencks a\c though.
However, will keep looking and hope something pops up!

Rgs,
Steve.
