Missing in Action Oschersleben 11/Jan/44, Pilot: Bob Hallden, Co-Pilot: Ray Gentry (both KIA), Navigator: Gerard Limon, Bombardier: John Hubenschmidt, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Henry Beben, Radio Operator: Dalton Hutchins, Ball turret gunner: Clyde Moore, Waist gunner: Bob Robinson, Waist gunner: Henry Hays,Tail gunner: Carl Chatoir (8 Prisoners of War); enemy aircraft shot off tail, crashed Kirchlengern, 22 miles E of Osnabrück, Ger. I'm still looking for an official source about the exact crash location.
It is not known to me in my hometown until now.

In the MACR 1930-documents is no reference to a German KU-Meldung and the crash location, but a sign to Kirchlengern. There is an inquiry of the Embassy of Switzerland in Germany from 23 January 1945 to the Army Information Center of the German Supreme HQ:
"We would be very gratefully if you inform us on the graves of 2nd Lt R.L. GENTRY and 2nd Lt R.H. HALLDEN. They have been observed at last at Kirchenlengern (correct is Kirchlengern) on 11 January 1944 and were shot down presumably at this place".
