Alan Rawlinson has passed away
 

Hello,

Sad news have reached me that Group Captain Alan Ralwinson (http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/commo..._rawlinson.htm) has passed away in late August 2007.

Is there anyone with an exact date on his passing?

Also is there anyone with better knowledge on Australian newspapers than me, that have found an obituary on him?

Sadly, your info is correct. There is a death notice in the local paper. I have yet to get a copy of the full text. I spent a day talking to Alan about his career, and he was very helpfull. One of the nicest gentlemen and a very knowledgeable man about fighter pilots.

Thanks for your help with the date and also thanks for the search engine (I found a death notice for Blake Pelly http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/commonwealth_pelly.htm from 1990 in it at once).
